by Sungrab Leen
Buddhist monk in the Tibetan tradition
Tuesday, January 30, 2018. From 7 pm – 9 pm
In his lecture, Sungrab Leen examines why, when and how meditation helps. He also explains what kinds of meditations and methods there are, and how you can learn to meditate.
The word Meditate literally means: change, transform. It is therefore a method with which we can change what is internally unsatisfactory, painful or difficult.
Meditating does not (always) solve our problems, but helps to maintain inner harmony, peace and balance in difficult times. The advantage of this is that more positive attitudes and perspectives present themselves.
There are many forms and techniques of meditation. This allows everyone to choose what fits best in the situation and which meditation is pleasant to do.
There is time for questions and answers, and for some meditation exercises.
To meditate, one does not have to be or become a Buddhist. The lecture is based on the centuries-long meditation experience of Tibetan Buddhism.
